Dear friends and neighbors,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart and an urgent request. A close friend and neighbor of ours In New Hempstead, an incredible person who has always been there for others, is facing the unthinkable. On January 16th, his home is scheduled for foreclosure unless $33,000 is raised.

This is not someone who takes help lightly. He is hardworking, kind, and always the first to step up when someone else is in need. Due to circumstances beyond his control, he has fallen behind and now stands to lose the home where his family has built their life.

We are running this campaign through the community fund Ahavas Chessed 613 (see below for details) We are asking, humbly and urgently, for your help. Any amount can make a real difference. If you are able to give, please do. If you cannot, please share this message. Time is extremely limited, and every hour matters.

Ahavas Chessed 613 Corporation’s mission is to support needy and disadvantaged members of the New Hempstead community and surrounding areas. Ahavas Chessed assists with financial struggles by providing special loan assistance, offers specific holiday programs and maintains seasonal food banks. Under the Ahavas Chessed umbrella is the “Monsey Shoe Gemach”. The Gemach collects and distributes used shoes in good condition. AC also has a shed which retains an assortment of medical and mechanical equipment available for loan usage. In addition, Ahavas Chessed serves as a powerful fundraising vehicle for many local causes, all in support of people in need.
