Dear warm-hearted Jewish Brethren,

In just three weeks, a kallah will be led to her chuppah b’sha’ah tova. It will be a very emotional chuppah, provoking mixed emotions of joy and heartbreaking sadness. Unfortunately, the kallah will not be led by her father to her chuppah, because she is a yesomah, orphaned from her father, who passed away in Covid, and has endured so much suffering in her young life ever since. Imagine the trauma of a teenage girl, the youngest in her family, losing her father. Picture her pain, being led to the chuppah, without her dear father present. Feel her anguish, watching her widowed mother, having to carry the burden all alone, without her husband’s support.

Preparing for this milestone without the emotional and physical support of a husband and father at their side, is beyond difficult in and of itself. The almanah, is shouldering the full financial responsibility of the wedding alone. As a single mother, the pressure of meeting these expenses is too much for her to bear alone.

This is where we have the chance to step in.

We are aiming to raise $75,000 to ease the burden of this wedding, and allow the kallah and her mother to walk into this simcha with dignity, calm, and the knowledge that Klal Yisroel stands beside them.
