Kollel Yad Chaim was founded L’iluy Nishmas our grandfather R’ Berel Fried z"l (מוה״ר חיים יששכר דוב בן הרב שלמה אפרים). As we all know, our Zaidy loved and lived Torah, and had a special fondness specifically for Toras Eretz Yisroel. Consequently, there can be no greater zechus for his neshama than the hours of Torah learned each night by a dedicated group of Avreichim in Yerushalayim, Ir Hakodesh.

Our Kollel is unique in that there is no specific limud. Rather, we merely provide a framework in which the Avreichim can review their limudim from throughout the day, giving them the ability to really acquire whatever it is that they are learning. This setup lends itself to a large range of Avreichim, including those learning in the large Batei Midrashim of Mir and Brisk, as well many other of the countless Kollelim spread throughout Yerushalayim. However, all yungeleit are here with the common goal of deepening their yedios hatorah through dedicated hours of chazarah.
