Over the years, I have been asked to support many philanthropic undertakings, and thanks to G-d I have been able to do my best in fulfilling those requests. Now, due to a great tragedy within my own family, I find myself in the uncomfortable position of making a similar request from you.

After suffering for two years, my niece Blimie Gombo, of blessed memory, succumbed to cancer at the young age of 31 – leaving behind her husband Moshe, and five children ranging in age from 10 years old to just 20 months old.

Moshe is a proud and honorable father who cared for the children and Blimie as she suffered the debilitating effects of brain cancer. Now, it is my family’s turn to ensure that he and the children will always have all they need.

The tragic loss has challenged Moshe’s ability to pay for everyday needs. Together with other family members, I have established a foundation to raise the money needed that will allow Moshe to provide for his family.

My commitment is to raise $100,000, and I am starting with those colleagues who are closest to me to reach a critical mass. That includes you. While all donations will be greatly appreciated, I ask that you join other firms that have already donated $5,000 each. By doing so, you’ll help me raise $50,000 by February Third.

Needless to say, I am grateful just to be able to make this ask of you, and Moshe and his children will forever be grateful for your support.
