I started my campaign for a truly special cause, the wedding of an orphan, Chaim Refaeli, who lost his father at a young age.
I have personally been by this family’s side for years — even helping to arrange his bar mitzvah — and I’ve watched Chaim grow into an extraordinary young man. Despite the hardships of being an orphan, he stood strong. He helped his mother run the home, cared lovingly for his siblings, and never let his challenges hold him back.
In Yeshiva, he didn’t just do well — he excelled. Chaim was accepted into the renowned Tifrach Yeshiva, where he became known as one of the top students, a true masmid with an unwavering dedication to Torah despite all of today's challenges. And now, Chaim has found a wonderful girl from a beautiful family in Yerushalayim, and together, they are ready to build a new home.
His wedding is in less than a week, this coming Sunday night, and I want to make sure Chaim can celebrate with the same joy and dignity as any of his friends. It is a true zechut to be part of something so special, even if you can only take a small part.
