$36.00A community of 650 families wants to keep taharah, but their mikvah deteriorated beyond use.
We’re the ones who can make this mitzvah possible again.
Maaleh Chever is a small Jewish community of 650 families, nestled in the hills of Har Chevron in Southern Israel and completely surrounded by Arab villages.
For years, the community relied on a single mikvah, but it deteriorated to the point of becoming entirely unusable.
Today, women who want to keep taharah have nowhere to go. For the more religious, it means traveling long distances at night. For the less religious, it means losing access to the mitzvah altogether, a heartbreaking loss for Klal Yisroel. In a place this remote, losing the only mikvah means losing generations of taharah.
The leading mikvah organization in Israel, Merkaz L’Taharas HaMishpacha stepped in to rebuild Mikva Maaleh Chever from the ground up into a modern, state-of-the-art facility with a welcoming lobby, two preparation rooms, and one bor tevilah built to the highest standards of halachah.
Baruch Hashem, the project is now in its final stage of construction. The walls are up, the rooms are taking shape, and the community is waiting for its doors to open.
We are just $100,000 away from completing the mikvah and opening it by Chanukah, b’ezras Hashem.
We need your help to finish this mikvah and bring taharah back to Maaleh Chever for today, and for generations to come.
