Mier Elisha is a 2½ year old boy from Israel battling an ultra-rare condition called CNOT1 syndrome, with only a handful of known cases worldwide.

He currently cannot swallow on his own and survives through a feeding tube. His family came to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital after finally finding a doctor who gave them real hope that his esophagus can be repaired and that he may one day be able to eat normally.

This family of 10 left everything behind to give their son a chance at life. They are facing overwhelming expenses including surgeries, medical care, insurance, travel, rent in Israel and in the U.S., and daily living costs while both parents are unable to work because Mier requires constant supervision.
