Dear Awakening community,

In just a few weeks, Chaya Sara will be leading her youngest daughter, Menucha Iy”h, toward the chuppah. It is a true simcha for the whole family … and it is also a very hard one for Chaya Sara. This will be the first family wedding since the loss of her beloved husband, Shalom A”h.

Preparing for this milestone without the emotional and physical support of her husband and partner by her side is beyond difficult in and of itself. At the same time, Chaya Sara is shouldering the full financial responsibility of the wedding alone. As a single mother, the pressure of meeting these expenses is too much for her to bear alone.

This is where we have the chance to step in.

Chaya Sara has given so much of herself to others—with quiet strength, generosity, and care. She showed up for people in their most vulnerable moments, often without recognition. Now, she needs that same support returned to her.

We are aiming to raise $50,000 to ease the burden of this wedding and allow Chaya Sara to walk into this simcha with dignity, calm, and the knowledge that her community stands beside her.
